COLUMBUS, Ind. — Columbus native Chasten Harmon’s latest film, “The Mistress,” will be playing locally exclusively at YES Cinema for a special one-time screening on Saturday, July 29, at 10:01 am. Admission is $5 per person. Harmon stars in this supernatural stalker thriller.

The movie follows newlyweds Maddie (Harmon) and Parker (John Magaro) as they move into their dream home where they discover a collection of 100-year-old letters from a young woman who died by suicide after being abandoned by the owner of the home. Parker experiences ghostly disturbances while Maddie suspects he is hiding something dark from his past.

Harmon grew up in Columbus and is the daughter of Tom and Mary Harmon. She graduated from Columbus East High School and holds a BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and an MFA from the Yale School of Drama (2015).

Having performed on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and on a National Tour, Harmon isn’t new to the screen, making her film debut in Jim Jarmusch’s “Patterson” starring Adam Driver (2016). Harmon has also appeared as a recurring guest star on “Elementary,” and has guest starred on “Braindead” and “Pure Genius.” She brought the role of Bessie Louvin to life in her first series regular role on the USA drama “Damnation” and was featured in ABC’s series (written by Marcia Clark) “The Fix.”

Recently, she shared the stage with Billy Crystal in his hit production, Mr. Saturday Night. Harmon is also a successful entrepreneur with several ventures.
