"Blue Fox Entertainment has bulked up its AFM slate and added international sales rights to Tribeca 2022 family film Space Oddity, directed by Kyra Sedgwick and featuring a cast that includes Kyle Allen, Alexandra Shipp, and Kevin Bacon.
Allen stars in the Big Swing Productions feature as Alex, who longs to travel into space and finally gets his opportunity thanks to a privately funded Mars colony programme. During rigorous preparation he meets Daisy (Shipp), a new girl in town, and the pair connect.
When questions about the legitimacy of the programme and the future of his parents’ flower farm rear their head, Alex finds himself questioning whether it’s easier to confront his past or fly off to the stars."
